SOCIAL TRASCRIPT DIRECTIVE

FIRST PART

Purpose, Scope, Basis and Definitions

Goal

ARTICLE 1 - (1) The purpose of this directive is to determine the processes related to the recognition and systematic recording of the achievements obtained as a result of the participation of students registered at Sakarya University in social activities organized within the university or within the body of public institutions and the structure of the transcript to be created.

Scope

Article 2 - (1) This directive covers the registration and certification processes of the social activities of undergraduate and associate degree students registered at Sakarya University.

Article 3 - (1) This Directive has been prepared on the basis of Article 14 of the Higher Education Law dated 4/11/1981 and numbered 2547.

Article 4 - (1) In this directive,

Rector: The Rector of Sakarya University,

SECOND PART

Classification, Application, Evaluation, Objection and Transcript

Classification

Article 5 - (1) Social transcript does not include the academic activities of the student. The social transcript includes social activities in accordance with the following classification and approved by the Department.

(2) Classification of social activities:

Clubs and organizations

Service to the community

Awards and awards won

Scientific events

Culture, arts and sports

Application

Article 6 - (1) In order for a social activity to be visible in the transcript, the student must apply through SABİS. The application is made by filling in the form describing the activity on the web and uploading the evidence regarding the activity to the system.

(2) A student can apply for a social activity during active student years, excluding evaluation periods.

Evaluation

Article 7 - (1) Evaluation is made by the unit / department commissions twice a year, during the final exams announced in the academic calendar of the fall and spring terms.

(2) The evaluation commission is formed in units / departments through the Dean's Office or Department Heads. The head of the commission can be a lecturer, and members of the commission can be lecturers.

(3) The Commission evaluates the applications regarding the social activities of the students within the framework of the evidence presented. Rejected applications are seen on the student interface as "RED" with its justification. Approved applications are considered as "ACCEPTANCE".
Objection

Article 8 - (1) The student can make an objection or a request for correction for the social activities he / she has applied for. Objection or correction requests are made in writing to the commission within 5 working days after the evaluation process.

(2) Objections or requests for correction are finalized at the next evaluation meeting.
Transcript

Article 9 - (1) The activities approved by the Commission are recorded in the database created in the SABİS system.

(2) Social transcript lists social activities and achievements during the student's life, regardless of the academic transcript.

(3) The approved activities appear in the transcript in chronological order, in a classified manner.

(4) The student can view his / her social transcript on the SABİS interface and print it out.

(5) In order to prevent duplicate transcripts, transcripts printed on SABİS contain a verification code.

(6) For students who have completed a full year of SASGEM activity, a document (showing attendance, success and participation status) to be created by the relevant coordinator is submitted to the relevant department. The activity carried out in this context is processed in the social transcript based on this document.

THIRD PART

Miscellaneous and Final Provisions

Matters not covered by the directive

Article 10 - (1) The provisions of the relevant legislation and the decisions of the Senate are applied for the matters not covered by this Directive.

Force

Article 11 - (1) This Directive takes effect on the date of its publication.

Executive

Article 12 - (1) The Rector of Sakarya University executes the provisions of this Directive.
